Kathy Hadel-Racy has spent her career serving children and developing educational programming. She is excited to bring her professional experience to serve the TeamSmile mission. Kathy started her career in the Olathe District Schools as an elementary teacher for 10 years. She was part of a leadership team recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School. After moving to Indiana, she stayed home to raise their 3 boys while being a substitute teacher and school board member. Following her return to Missouri, she served as a faculty member at the University of Central Missouri and focused her work on mentoring and supervising student teachers.

During the 8 years before starting at TeamSmile, Kathy was the Assistant Principal at a Kindergarten-8th grade school in North KC. Kathy has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Avila University and a master’s degree in elementary school administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is a huge baseball fan, enjoys warm weather activities and spending time with her husband, Mike, their family, and her very special goldendoodle, Autumn!
